UZO EGONU ART + Audio DISPLAY

A project as sound editor and tape recordist for the Uzo Eguno display at the Museum of the Home in London, curated by Makella Ama Ketedzi and Louis Platman. Exploring Igbo folkloric traditions, urban life and addiction through vivid imagery, the space was also curated with pre-recorded folktales, commissioned by Makella in response to the artworks.

I edited audio files of these folktales as read by Chloe Filani, Tatenda Naomi Matsvai and Nikita Sena, then transferred them to analogue cassette tape. Made available through a cassette player and headphones in a cosy reading and listening nook, visitors were provided with a tactile, intimate listening experience.
